best settings for slideshow when using pan/zoom

We really enjoy the pan/soom for photos.

My wife has noticed that sometimes there is some distortion when zooming. I am using a micro pc with 4k - and have the settings set at 10 seconds for both the image display time, transaition time is in the middle, and movement duration in pan & zoom set to 10 seconds.

Which adjustments wouild reduce the very minor distorations?

Also, do I need to recreate each slideshow I have save, or can I edit existing slideshows with the adjustments.

unfortunately I can't understand what do you mean with "distortion". Do you mean the images are stretched in one direction ? For example a square become a rectangle ?
If this is the issue it is due to the way gPhotoShow adapts images to screen with a different aspect ratio, there are several ways to adapt them and you can find the settings in gPhotoShow Pro settings -> Images->Display Options
By default gPhotoShow uses a mix of Stretch & Crop, you can choose to crop only, to stretch or use a letterbox (fill empty space with background color)

No - actually, when it zooms - it's like a very small wave distortion moving through the pixels.

It's hard to guess what it is causing that distortion, sometimes there is tearing effect caused by the GPU sending frames out of synch with the monitor vertical synch. I don't know if this is causing the distortion, in any case I would suggest you to check your display adapter driver settings. Make sure the vertical synch is enabled and reset any other option to default settings.
