I would like to be able to choose between different types of transition effects.
The current smooth effect is excellent but I think it would be very nice to have new animations.
If it is more resourceful, perhaps it can be clarified that it is something experimental.
What do you think?

WallpaperSS is a simple wallpaper changer, it loads an image, resize and set it as desktop wallpaper. The transition is performed by windows not by WallpaperSS for this reason there is only a single transition, the only one performed by windows.
There is no plan to implement further transitions, they would out of the scope of the program.
If you wish to display a slideshow on the desktop with transitions you could try gPhotoShow pro among other things is has a functions to display a slideshow over the desktop, take a look at this:

Is it possible to use gPhotoShow on the desktop without activating the screensaver?

Excellent. Now to look for the basics: pan & zoom with morph and automatic start when entering Windows.
