When I log in via Google Connect to give it permissions I get this error: I can proceed via the advanced options but when I do the plugin times out waiting for permissions: The plugin is version 1.3.3. I'm running W10/Chrome.

The "unverified" message is correct, I didn't submit WallpaperSS to Google verification process. Click on advanced and go on...
At some point after you authorize the app the browser displays a small window like this:



you must click on "open link" within few seconds or the window will disappear. If you don't click on this window WallpaperSS will wait forever
Close all programs so that small window can't hide itself behind some other program then try again.

I don't see any popup. I tried going to desktop as soon as I click to authorize the app in Google twice, and offsetting all the windows as much as possible twice. I also watched the taskbar for another item to appear and none did.

The authorization process finished with the browser launching a custom url, this custom url is used to pass a token from google to the plugin.
In the past there were problems with Google Chrome and custom urls, I don't if this is the case now but I would suggest to set Microsoft Edge as the default browser, try to authorize the plugin then you can set again Chrome as your default browser

Hello again. I just updated the app and plugin and now get a "redirect_uri_mismatch" when attempting to connect to Google Photos. I updated the screensaver app and plugin as well and they work fine.

did you update the GoogleConnect plugin for WallpaperSS to version 1.4.1 ?
I just tested both plugins on the same computer and both worked fine

That's what caused the problem for me. version 1.4.1.

Same error on a different computer. And in both Edge and Chrome.

Updating the screensaver does not disconnect the plugin so a re-connect is not required. I don't want to attempt one.

Try to download and install this updated plugin (v1.4.2):
