I think I found the problem, sometimes plugin fails to delete files because they are locked by gPhotoShow. When this happens the file is removed from its internal list but it not deleted.
It should be fixed in version 1.3.1 of the plugin.
If you install this new version files on local disk should not grow any longer but they will not go down to 100 because there is number of files that are not counted by the plugin

Well, it was all working, but stopped again on 8/6. Also, when it was working, at times it was downloading .HEIC files - does gPhotoShow support this file type?

Why does it say 1.3.1 in the plugin list, but 1.2.2 in the plug dialog?

I forgot to update the numbers in the plugin dialog. The real version number is the one displayed in PlugIns page
