1.I have just few panoramic images mixed together with other pictures, is there a way in gPhotoShow to scroll automatically these panoramic images without moving them to another folder ?
To do it you need to edit Image Properties for your panoramas:

1. Set all your preferred options for the slide show
2. In the "Advanced Options" section, enable the option "Use configured keys to..."
3. Click on the "Keys..." button and set a key for "Open Image Property" action.
4. Start the slide show (or the screen saver)
5. When you see the panorama you would like to see scrolling on the screen press the key you configured in step (3)
6. Now a dialog is open, enable the option "Auto Scroll", choose the direction, duration time and click on the "Save" button

The next time you will see that picture it will move on the screen and you will enjoy your panorama !

2. I have some panoramic images saved as jpeg, I tried to insert them in the "360 Panoramic Images" section but they looks weird. Is there a way to see these images moving on the screen ?
The "360 Panoramic Images" section is only for 360x180 degrees spherical panoramas. For simple rectilinear panoramas you must use the Panoramic Images section, files in this section are scrolled automatically on the screen.

1. Is there any way to display photo's exif data other than the predefined tags (Images -> Information)? I would like to display lens data but I don't know how to do it.
Usually lens info is stored inside makernotes, a custom area of exif tags specific for each manufacturer. Since this are is not officially documented gPhotoShow is not able to display its content. There are some standard lens info field and gPhotoShow can display them but probably they will not contain any info. However gPhotoShow is able to read almost any standard exif/xmp tag using a query language implemented in the library used by gPhotoShow.
The syntax of the query language is rather complex, here are some info on how to read exif and xmp tags.
For exif use the following syntax:
[Exif.NNNNN]
where NNNNN is tag number, for example to read standard exif lens description:
[Exif.42036]
The syntax for xmp:
[xmp.namespace:tag]
where namespace can be any of standard namespaces or a custom one. For example to read exif altitude:
[xmp.exif:GPSAltitude]
Standard namespaces are: rdf, dc, xmp, xmpidq, xmpRights, xmpMM, xmpBJ, xmpTPg, pdf, photoshop, tiff, exif, stDim, xapGImg, stEvt, stRef, stVer, stJob, aux, crs, xmpDM, Iptc4xmpCore, MicrosoftPhoto, MP, MPRI, MPReg
To read Lens Model in aux namespace:
[xmp.aux:Lens]
To read non standard namespaces the URL of the xmp schema must be used, and the slash (/) char must be escaped using a backslash (\) for example to read LensModel from exifEx namespace:
[xmp.http\:\/\/cipa.jp\/exif\/1.0\/:LensModel]

2. How can I display a text over my images ?
gPhotoShow can get the text to display over your images from different sources.

• Description field of the Exif header
• XMP/IPTC tags
• DESCRIPT.ION file
• .gprop file (gPhotoShow Image Properties file)

You should choose the method which better suits your workflow. For example if you edit all your images and your editor is able to set the "Description" field in the exif header, your could simply set your text there and set the gPhotoShow option "Exif - Description Data" in the "Image Options" section.
If you wish to display a text on some images but you don't wish to edit them, you can use gPhotoShow Image Properties:

1. Set all your preferred options for the slide show
2. In the "Advanced Options" section, enable the option "Use configured keys to..."
3. Click on the "Keys..." button and set a key for "Open Image Property" action.
4. Start the slide show (or the screen saver)
5. When you see a pictures where you wish to add a description press the key you configured in step (3)
6. Now a dialog is open, enable the option "Edit Description", insert your description and click on the "Save" button

gPhotoShow will create a file with the same name as your image but a .gprop file extension.
You can edit this file with gPhotoShow in two ways:

• Start the slide show (or screen saver) again
• Wait for the picture to be displayed and press the key you configured in step (3) before

or

• Locate the .gprop file for the picture your wish to change by using windows explorer
• Double click on it

1. I purchased a license of gPhotoShow Pro for my laptop. Can I install it on my desktop with the same registration key, or do I need to purchase a separate license ?
You can use the same registration on both your computers. The gPhotoShow license allows you to install the program on more than one computer provided you use the computers personally. In other words you can install and register it on all computer you wish provided ONLY ONE copy is used at any time. If the computers are used by different persons you need a license for each computer.

gPhotoShow can be run from the command prompt and the following are the available parameters.
Where you read gPhotoShow.exe you must replace it with the full path, for example c:\program files\gPhotoShowPro\gPhotoShow64.exe

/c filename.gss
Runs gPhotoShow to edit the specified configuration file
gPhotoShow.exe /c config_file.gss

/s filename.gss
Runs gPhotoShow to display a slide show using the specified configuration file
gPhotoShow.exe /s config_file.gss

/f foldername
Runs gPhotoShow to display a slide show using the images contained in the specified folder. gPhotoShow will load the settings from the gPhotoShow.gss file stored in the folder where it has been installed
gPhotoShow.exe /f folder

/r
Registers the .gss file extension in system registry. You can use this command to associate again .gss file extension to gPhotoShow, you need to do this when some other program changes the settings for the gss file extension.
gPhotoShow.exe /r

/x filename.gss
Loads settings from .gss file and saves them to system registry location used by the screen saver
gPhotoShow.exe /x config_file.gss

/u
Specifies the password for an ecrypted gss file
gPhotoShow.exe /u "password" /s config_file.gss

/d:delay
Specifies a startup delay in milliseconds
gPhotoShow.exe /d:1000 /s config_file.gss

/2
Displays slideshow only on secondary monitors
gPhotoShow.exe /2 /s config_file.gss

MultiMonitor and multiple instances command line parameters

The following parameters allows you to have a different slideshow on each monitor.
This is done by running multiple instances of gPhotoShow. In addition it is also possible start/stop slideshows on a specified monitor.

/mX
Where X is the number of the monitor used for the slideshow. This option also disables the multiple instance check and allows more than one copy of gPhotoShow to run.

To start gPhotoShow Pro on monitor #1
gPhotoShow.exe /m1 /s mygss.gss
To start gPhotoShow Pro on monitor #2
gPhotoShow.exe /m2 /s mygss.gss

/qX
Closes gPhotoShow Pro instance that display a slideshow on monitor X (gPhotoShow must be started with /mX)
/q0 closes all instances of gPhotoShow not opened on a specific monitor (no command /mX was used to start them)

To close gPhotoShow Pro on monitor #1
gPhotoShow.exe /q1
To close gPhotoShow Pro on monitor #2
gPhotoShow.exe /q2

/w:x,y,width,height,flags
With this command it is possible to position the gPhotoShow window at a specified position the windows virtual screen (the union of all active monitors)
x,y: Window position in pixel
width,height: Window size in pixel
flags: Settings for the gPhotoShow window
0= Default. gPhotoShow window is always on top and always tries to stay there
1= Created on top of other windows but doesn't try to stay there
2= Created as normal window
4= Visible in the windows taskbar
8= Show title bar

/b:m,h
With this command it is possible to leave a free border at the bottom (or at the top) of the screen.
This area is not covered by the gPhotoShow windows
m: N. monitor (0=All)
h: N. of pixel. If <0 the border is at the top of the screen, if >0 the border is at the bottom of the screen

/o config_file.gss
This command creates a standalone screen saver or slideshow with the options from the specified gss file

/n:image.jpg
/n:"c:\dir\image.jpg"
/n:NNNN
This command starts the slideshow from image.jpg or from image numeber NNNN (where NNNN is a number ie. 1234). If the path or the filename contain a space the name must
be surrounded by double quotes, for example "c:\my folder\my pic.jpg"
This parameter is only useful when the slideshow is configured to display images sequentially, ordered by path name or date

/k
gPhotoShow doesn't hide windows mouse cursor

/g:nnnnn
Waits for process ID nnnn to close before starting

/v
Records a video with the slideshow. Video file name is saved inside the gss file

/t hh:mm:ss
Displays the slideshow for the specified amount of time (hh=hour, mm=minutes, ss=seconds).
For example /t 0:30:0 displays the slideshow for 30 minutes

/sd filename
Runs gPhotoShow to display a slide show on the desktop (and under all programs) using the specified configuration file
gPhotoShow.exe /sd config_file.gss

For example to display two gPhotoShow windows:
"c:\Program Files\gPhotoShowPro\gPhotoShow64.exe" /w:0,0,640,800,1 /s D:\_My Pictures\slide1.gss
"c:\Program Files\gPhotoShowPro\gPhotoShow64.exe" /w:641,0,640,800,0 /s D:\_My Pictures\slide2.gss

A full path name for gPhotoShow.exe and for the slideshow must be used.
The command line should be something like:
