if it's not to much work, it would be nice to have variable direction in PhotoWall mode. Not only down-up, but up-down and left-right, right-left also.

Version 8 will add up-down direction, about left-right and right-left at the moment there is no plan to implement it but maybe it will be implemented later after version 8 is delivered.
