What does "recursive search" under the "images" tab do? Thanks and have a nice day.

"Recursive search" means that files are searched also in all subfolders up to the specified level. For example if you have this folders tree:
Image1.gif
Image1.gif (2.88 KiB) Viewed 11824 times
If you add the folder c:\pictures in gPhotoShow and don't set the recursive option it will only scan folder c:\pictures. If you set "recursive search" it will scan all folders. If you wish to limit folder scan to 2011 and 2012 you can set recursion to stop at level 1.
