Image not fully stretched

Post by solid_ice8 »

I have tested placing in image sized 800 (width) x 600 (height) and this will work normally; stretched out on my monitor that's 1920 x 1200.
Testing image sized 960 x 600 will work the same as well (since this literally half dimensions)

However, when I have mismatched image; sizing 800 (width) x 1200 (height); the width will NOT be stretched to my screen resolution.

There should be an option added to stretch image ignoring aspect ratio.

Tick the option "Always fill the screen"

Yes; that was previously ticked already when I installed the program.

I have tried un-ticking it (and press ok) and re-ticking it; still does not work.

The option "Always fill the screen" is useful to stretch images that have the same orientation as the monitor but different aspect ratio.
gPhotoShow applies it ONLY if pictures and screen have the same orientation, this means it will never resize a portrait image to fill a landscape oriented monitor (it does not make sense)

I know it wouldn't make sense, but it doesn't have to make sense.

I've been using a wallpaper application that has the option "Stretch ignoring aspect ratio" and I have tried it with a portrait image and it only makes a person look a little chubbier.
