Hi,
I need only one more thing from your program to make it perfect for my needs: if I change which files are in a folder, I need it to update to showing those new files. I.E. I need the screensaver to be directed to a network attached drive and show the files from a folder there on a 1st PC. I need to be able to change the files in that folder from a 2nd PC and have them displayed without interrupting the screensaver on the 1st PC. Basically it needs to dynamically update the list of files it displays. I'd love to hear if that is possible, perhaps through an extension, I see you have something like that already (but not quite).
Thanks,
Erik

Hi,
This thing is perfect for me with one addition. I need to display photos from a network attached storage device on PC#1, on PC#2 I need to change which photos are on that device, then I need the screensaver on PC#1 to update to displaying those files without interruption or user intervention. We are displaying photos for sale on monitors in one room and processing them on another PC, so we need to be able to update which photos are on display via the network storage without leaving the processing PC. I other words the screensaver needs to be able to update the list of files it plays in a folder while it is running. Let me know if that's possible, perhaps through an extension.
Thanks very much,
Erik

Hello,
the Free edition of gPhotoShow can't do what your need. gPhotoShow Pro can easily be configured to periodically scan the configured folders to detect new files, the minimum configurable time is 1 minute but depending of the number of files and network speed you could need to set a higher time.
There is also a "New Photos" plugin that allows you to immediately display new pictures then move them to another folder. This plugin has been developed mostly for photographers that wish to display their photos as soon as possible after they have been uploaded to the computer when gPhotoShow is running. In your case probably the background folder scan is enough.

Sweet! Thanks so much. Sorry for not realizing that on my own.
