Re: Last image - wallpaper

I just released gPhotoShow Pro 7.1.1 that should fix this issue on Windows 8.1. As I wrote before it works only if the program "Control Screen Saver" is running. gPhotoShow Pro should also support file names using hebrew alphabet since it's fully unicode. You can try it freely for 30 days:...

Re: Last image - wallpaper

I did further tests, I can confirm windows 8.1 runs the screen saver under a secure desktop and it can't change the wallpaper on the user's desktop. This is not something that can be solved since it is a security feature of windows. On gPhotoShow Pro I am testing a workaround that needs a small prog...

Re: Last image - wallpaper

Hello, unfortunately it seems windows 8.1 runs the screen saver with further limitations that doesn't allow it to change wallpaper. I don't know the reasons of this new limitation and I don't know if it can be disabled. Of course this doesn't happen when running as "Preview" because in thi...

Re: Latest - settings?

Hello, with the current gPhotoShow Pro version it is possible to do what you ask but there are several drawbacks as you noticed. To get best performances when using exif tags the files cache must enabled, the cache is used by gPhotoShow not only to avoid repeating images but also to avoid reading ex...

Re: Monitor On-Off Plug-In system standby and hibernate

For now I have no plan to add more than one device for each setting but I understand it can be useful so I added you suggestion to the features request list.

gPhotoShow Pro 7.0.0 Released

gPhotoShow Pro 7.0.0 has been released today. One of the biggest changes in this new version is updated code that scan folders and keeps the files list. The new code is faster, keeps a cache of exif/xmp/iptc tags and uses much less memory. With this version when background synchronization is enabled...

Re: Multi-Monitor Setup, Monitors Will Go Black, Then Come B

Thanks for the log file. Unfortunately it is not useful to understand what happens there. Your slideshow includes only wmv video files, these files are played by the Windows Media Player ActiveX, while playing gPhotoShow stays idle waiting for the video to finish. Since Media Player is an external c...
