I don't find it that straightforward. There are a lot of parameters and some of them are very confusing (eg stretch & crop).
I can try things out and see the result, but that doesn't mean I can achieve what I would like to see.
Your file is certainly helpful and already did clarify a few ...

I recently purchased gPhotoShow Pro and I'm finding the settings quite difficult to understand.

I'm looking for ready-made .gss configuration files shared by other users, preferably for:

Elegant transitions between photos
Smooth pan and zoom
Scrapbook layouts
Setting background ...
