Did you change wallpaper after changing the color ?
Are you sure the black color is not embedded in the picture you used as background ?
WallpaperSS uses the background color to fill empty areas when it builds the wallpaper so in order to see a change you must change wallpaper.

I find the way to make it work.
It doesn't work with then options window.
Man muste choose the photo(s) he wants to parametrize into the main window then the position and color choice highligt.
Here, we can choose position and color that will aply to the selected photo(s).
